About Dr. Ed Beyer

Dr. Edward Beyer was born on the south side of Chicago and raised in a family of six in the southern suburbs of Chicago.

As a youth his interests quickly turned to sports- eventually participating in high school football, baseball and wrestling at Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills.

While playing football Dr. Beyer sustained a back injury. Originally he sought out traditional care for his pain. When this did not help him he went on to seek successful chiropractic care. The success of the treatment sparked his desire to become a Doctor of Chiropractic.

Dr. Beyer did his undergraduate study at Western Illinois University and Brigham Young University.

As a young adult his passions for competitive sports lead him to physical fitness. Over the course of the last 25 years he has completed five marathons and several triathlons. In 1987 he qualified and completed the prestigious Boston marathon in less than three hours.

Also, in 1987, he graduated cum laude and fourth in his class from the National College of Chiropractic In Lombard Illinois.

The next year, 1988, was a significant year in his life as it marked the birth of the first of his five children and the opening of his Clinic in Tinley Park. The next 23 years has brought great growth to his family and his practice.

The practice has grown from a 1000 square foot office with two employees to 3000 square feet with 10 employees. He has served over 11,000 patients since 1988.

Dr. Beyer continues to study extensively in order to offer his patients the most effective breakthrough treatment programs.  He is currently enrolled in the Diplomat program for Chiropractic Neurology at the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies. He also continues to expand his abilities & practice- extensively training in Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis, Functional Endocrinology, Functional & Science-based Nutritional Therapy, Neurotransmitters & Functional Neurology under renowned Dr Datis Kharrazian D.C., M.S., F.A.A.C.P., D.A.C.B.N., D.I.B.A.K., C.N.S., C.C.N., C.S.C.S., C.C.S.P.  Dr. Beyer has studied under Dr. Michael Johnson author of the book “What Do You Do When the Medications Don’t Work”. Dr. Beyer has also completed the Masters Course in the Functional Neurology & Functional Medicine of Type II Diabetes under Dr. David J Clark D.C.; C.N. Dr. Beyer is a charter member of the International Association of Functional Neurology & Rehabilitation

The result of adding functional neurology and metabolic testing and treatment to his clinic has brought great success in treating chronic conditions such as chronic disc & back pain.

Dr. Beyer continues to serve as an example to his patients by following a strict workout schedule that includes weightlifting & cardiovascular work, stretching, and taking supplements faithfully along with routine chiropractic care.
